Old friends with new kids. A closer look at this moment would reveal: A new baby boy who spends much of his day in tow with his master photographer dad. Two middle kids hanging with their moms. The two eldest daughters about to get acquainted. And in the opposite corner, a mini-scene involving a first time mom and pop that could make you glow nearly as much as they do. What the photo does not reveal is that miraculously, the children allotted us early 30-somethings all just enough time to catch up. My long chatty walk with Tannis and our later evening extra visit with Jer were total luxury, to say the least. Tanks-a-lot, guys.

Thanks K-i owe you, girls. Steve was blinded by the immense functionability of those beigy, satin venetian blinds that are now crumpled up in grocery bags much to my glee!

This room looks so... grown up or something. Is it the wall colour, or the fireplace?

Thanks for the hosting Ang (& Steve). I can only imagine what kind of effort went into making a home with three children look that neat. Ours never does anyway. And then you came up with something to serve us, toys for the kids to play with... Thanks also to Em for being so great with the girls, the effort was really appreciated.

H- Hopefully we will get around to decorating properly by the time you get here.

J- Thanks! No cheapo retro. Steel expert hubby is convinced they won't survive long.

L- Only his fourth, thanks Ms B

T- Our pleasure, we appreciated your efforts to make it happen too. Hopefully it was a nice mid-holiday event for all.

I posted a little medley of video clips from the trip, and there's a few seconds of kid chaos like in this photo at about the 2-minute mark: http://headspacejblog.blogspot.com/2007/11/trip-clips.html
