Dearest Family and Friends!
Welcome to my new way of sharing a peek of our life in Powell River. Anyone who has been able to make the journey here will know that our world really lies "at the end of the road". Powell River is a beautiful rustic coast-side town set on a hill. Surrounded by mountains and water, it can only be reached via 2 ferries, interrupted by a distance of winding oceanside highway. The secludedness and laid backness here have absolutely won my heart. Not to mention the tropical plants flowering on my yard in february! It's our second winter here, and like last year, we were blessed with maybe 2 snowfalls that lasted exactly enough time for us to make a few snowmen and admire them for a day. Steve wouldn't particularly call this a blessing but this is my blog and he can complain about the lack of arctic conditions in his own someday :).
So, welcome to a blog about the things that keep us in a "perpetual state of happiness"**. Of course spoken from the mouth of a mother of a dreamy new baby boy! (He's especially dreamy when he's dreaming if you know what I'm saying). We are enjoying the little handful, as is his big sister who thankfully gets her sleep for kindergarten regardless of his night time fuss'n. This might not be my ideal blog, much of the writing that I would have hoped to include might be kept to a minimum, and the spelling and grammar courses I badly need are still on the back burner, but atleast its a start.

Ang, I'm stoked that you're writing and sharing these great photos. Please register my encouragement to write about everything you "would have hoped to include" -- it's your space and you can put whatever you want here.
